MH Petrus is a writer of creative nonfiction and short stories, which have appeared in descant and Beloit Fiction Journal. She recently pivoted from a career in philanthropy and public policy to spend more time writing, as well as promoting literacy by tutoring adults. She loves living close to a Great Lake.
