C.A.Dickson

Born in Long Beach, California just one minute before her twin brother, C.A.Dickson has written stories from the moment she learned to read and write. Stealing away to the local public library to get lost in books was her favorite childhood pastime, and also where her love of mystery, mysticism, and the metaphysical played out in the magical tales she read, which to this day influence her boundlessly imaginative work. Dickson graduated magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University and is an Irvine Fellows scholarship award recipient where she studied with other promising PhD candidates of color on the Stanford University campus for the summer program. C.A.Dickson spent her early adulthood in the music industry crafting marketing campaigns for emerging to top-tier artists. Dickson’s time in the entertainment industry has served as a fascinating front row seat for the magic that transpires in that ineffable space where art and commerce meet.  Dickson currently lives in southern California with her husband and little dog, Noodles. She has completed 2, magical realism novel manuscripts and is currently writing a 3 rd . When she not writing or at the local library, she is visiting museums; creating content pairing funny words with dad-jokes on TikTok; hosting a series called “I LOVE BOOKS!!!” on the same platform, highlighting works written by historically marginalized voices; or crafting cocktails from self-made recipes that include fruit and herbs from her garden.
