The Sea, The Sea
I said, Why are you taking me to the ocean, and they said, You know how the sea makes you more calm, and I said, to the contrary, the sea with its shifting boundaries and moist air and noisy waves and smells of rotting kelp plus the myriad of creatures living beneath its surface both near the top and at the bottom does not make me calm at all but makes me extremely uncomfortable; the desert makes me calm.
